Kentucky Hills Region Hunting — Bowhunting Trophy Whitetail
Deer.
Deer
Creek was established in 1978 with a common sense, "archery
only" management plan. In 1995 we embellished this concept
by implementing one of the nation's first minimum harvest requirements
for our trophy whitetails. Today, Deer Creek's legendary Hills Region
is nationally acclaimed as a premier archery-only trophy whitetail
operation. Everyone knows that there are three inevitable requirements
for growing trophy deer:
1. Genetics: We have superb genetics. Innumerable
P. & Y.
class bucks and seven exceptional trophies scoring from 173" to
199 5/8" have been harvested on Deer Creek properties in
recent years.
2. Age: We observe a strict 130” P. & Y. minimum for
bucks with 8 points or less and a 140” P. & Y. minimum
for bucks with 9 points or more. These minimum requirements help
ensure that we harvest mostly mature bucks.
3. Nutrition: We maintain over 500 acres of
ladino clover, birdsfoot trefoil, alfalfa, corn, milo, chufa,
soybeans, iron clay peas,
Lab-Lab® and a variety of warm season grasses on over five
square miles of private property managed strictly for wildlife.
This robust variety of grains, grasses and legumes enables us
to capitalize on the superb genetics that abound in northwestern
Kentucky. In fact, the average score of all bucks harvested in
the new millennium is over 142"!
Only eight whitetail enthusiasts
per hunt will be afforded the exclusive opportunity to hunt these
legendary Kentucky trophy
whitetail properties. Fewer hunters equal less pressure— less
pressure equals more opportunities at trophy whitetails! All
Hills Region hunts include meals and lodging in our new 10,000
sq. ft. facility, guides, a minimum of six portable or ladder
stands per hunts, field transportation, and care of game. Plus,
you can book for a party of four and deduct $250 per person
from the price of any hunt. Corporate associates and groups
can take
this offer one step further: book for a party of eight persons
and receive the $250 per person deduction and enjoy private
bedrooms and complete exclusivity during your stay!
Bottoms Region—Still the most affordable trophy hunt
in the nation!
This
trophy hotspot consists of three square miles located in the lush,
agriculturally-rich Ohio River basin in Northwestern Kentucky. Comprised
of hardwood timber, wetland sloughs, and grain fields of corn, soybeans
and milo, our Bottoms Region is home to some truly monstrous whitetails.
Opportunities at Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett whitetails
are presented annually, and five bucks scoring over the magical
170" class have been taken by guests in recent years.
All hunts are conducted on a
semi-guided basis, and only eight persons are accepted per hunt.
We provide a knowledgeable guide
to put and keep you on deer and one stand per hunter to get you "jump
started." You provide additional stands as desired. We can
assist you with comfortable lodging within a 20-minute drive
of the hunting property or you can camp on-site. Additionally,
there is a grocery store located within a three-minute drive
where you can obtain sandwiches, snacks and other food staples.
Here's the best part of the deal: five-day archery hunts begin
at only $850 per person, and rifle hunts are available for as
little as $1,000 per person for 2 1/2 days. For the trophy whitetail
purist, our Bottoms Region hunts offer perhaps the most affordable
hunt in the nation for a realistic opportunity to harvest a Pope & Young
or Boone & Crockett whitetail!
