Gourmet Dining

Our chef combines a field-to-table philosophy with traditional fine dining using the freshest and finest ingredients. With selections that include fried pork chops and maple-bourbon salmon, to a seven layer chocolate cake and berry cobbler, every meal is a mouthwatering treat of southern cuisine.

Growing up, Chef Loretta Tyre, learned the powerful impact that southern hospitality and quality cooking had on the soul, by joining her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. Cultivating this love of the culinary arts, she opened a restaurant of her own in north Florida called T&T BBQ and Southern Home Cooking. Chef Loretta joined us in 2021, and is happy to serve her exquisite family recipes for all to enjoy at the lodge!

We gladly accommodate all special dietary needs and special menu requests. Contact us at least two weeks prior to your arrival for the chef to prepare accordingly.

5-Stand Shooting

We all know practice makes perfect, and here even honing your wingshooting skills takes on an air of enjoyment at our 5-stand. Designed for every level, novice to experienced, our array of challenging shots are a great way to prepare for a bird hunt.The 5 stand shoot serves as an entertaining, team-building exercise during corporate events. Trained instructors are always on-hand to help beginners with gun safety, proper form and technique—all of which ups the odds of a fun, successful hunt. What’s more, combined with a gourmet Southern dinner, our sporting clays 5-stand acts as an ideal backdrop for social gatherings, events, and business meetings.

Hunting Pro Shop

While at Deer Creek Lodge, visit the Pro Shop for your outfitting needs. Here you’ll find nearly everything to make your outdoor adventure complete. The Pro Shop offers a full line of Orvis shooting gear and clothing from base layers to brush pants, as well as apparel from additional rotating brands. Guests who prefer not to travel with their firearms may rent from a number of beautiful over and under shotguns and rifles to use while afield here. The selection is sure to please even the most discriminating outdoor enthusiast.

Golf

The Lodge sits just 45 minutes from the prestigious Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind., and we’re well-connected to those responsible for booking key tee times. Why not add to the shooting experience with a relaxing round of unparalleled golf? Holding more than 500 million gallons of water, this course carved from an abandoned coal mine culminates in The Gauntlet: four of the most difficult holes found anywhere in golf. Up for a challenge?
